"It is my guess that millions of IBOs have lost billions of dollars over the years to the benefit of a bunch of greedy tool promoters." ... Joecool (former Amway 'distributor' and well known Amway critic and blogger)
______________________________
Greedy tool promoters are merely the bait in the Amway bait and switch con. Remember the 'I want to be like Mike' commercials? You have thousands upon thousands of dreaming want to be like 'Puryear, Duncan, Yager' types out there. Well, I've got news; there was only one Mike, and there are only a few hand fulls of these top of the top of the top of the top of the pyramid positions to be filled, and if you are not already one of these top of it all tool scammer kingpins already, the sign goes up on the door: 'Position Already Filled!'
I am reminded of the 2004 Date line expose on Quixtar (Amway) kingpin corruption (scam is the word used most often) and the video of the one black distributor, tears in eyes, holding a candle. (Click here to view Part 2.) Thousands of Amway true believers flocked into the stadium. All lit candles to their Quixtar undying dream! Their dream to succeed in Quixtar and emulate the relatively few Quixtar distributors they saw on stage, but were doomed by mathematics to utter failure. Logic and math unequivocally debunk the Amway Dream as a horrific hoax on people gullible enough to have their hope and faith placed on the Amway myth of wealth and fortune. All they had to do is believe, remain core, and it would happen!
"Oh sure, there will be doubters" and eventually most of all these people will have to come to grips with the fact that there is no room at the top of the pyramid of greed for them. Oh sure, one can win the big prize in the lottery, but realistically, mathematics debunk this likelihood as well. But then again, distributors are asked at these events to make a pledge to remain loyal for life, to believe in the dream against all odds and against all naysayers (all to their unfortunate undoing.)
I am left to wonder who this one black gentleman is standing in the crowd, his tears bathed by candle light? I would like to know exactly how his Amway dream has turned out? Nearly five years have passed since the dateline expose aired, the time many Quixtar/Amway recruiters say it takes to go Diamond in their business if one remains core and does the work. (which always places the blame for failure on the believer--never on their deceptive system.) If anyone knows this man, I'd love to hear specifically his Quixtar/Amway story. I'd love to hear that he crossed stage and is now pictured in the Achieve magazine. He obviously believed in the Amway dream. Please email me at Quixtarisacult@gmail.com
It is sad that these handful of kingpins shills only serve to bait the trap the Amway corporation sets in front of all their what most likely becomes millions of believers both past and present.
I can't say that I can speak for anyone else, but I don't believe I'd want to trust any organization which describes itself as the 'world wide dream builders'? They may be successful at building dreams; dreams by which Quixtar and now Amway Global pimp like a prostitue. The Amway pimp in Ada may take a coat hanger to the likes of one of their own once in a while (Orrin Woodward comes to mind) but they have got to keep all the other whores like Greg Duncan, Ron Puryear, and Dexter Yager out on the street selling their wares to keep the green backs coming in to keep the caddy fly.
The 'super du' that the Don's wives sport cost money; braces for the kids--cost money; the jet, the helicopter, the yachts, they all cost money!
Do the upper echelon cult initiators really care that their empire is built on unfulfillable dreams of those 'distributors' lighting candles? My guess is they basically do not. They exhibit an arrogance toward what they actually believe are all the suckers gullible enough to buy into the dream regardless of all the Public Relation pooh they dish out. I have read where ex Amway executives have described how the conversations around the water cooler at both the headquarters in Michigan and in the UK has centered on all the suckers that believe the Amway phooey which make their wonderful entry level executive positions possible. Amway may offer opportunities, but they come in the form of real world jobs, in lets say accounting, marketing, and public relations; not the bull crap position of IBO which they secretly deem a sucker position.
Dear reader, if you have found this web page while looking for information about the 'business' because someone has shown you the plan, you've found the right place to begin understanding exactly how little opportunity there really is in the 'nightmare before financial holocaust'. I provide many good links to web pages designed to navigate you past all the Amway deceit. Yes, there are plenty of sharks in the MLM seas, as well. There are deceivers out there and the Direct Selling Association is just one of many. You will find MLM apologists like Amy Robinson who spews her particular type of fraud about MLM directly from her Washington, DC headquarters. To believe what she says about the likes of MLM and Amway, you must completely 'suspend reality' and deny the MLM Holocaust as taken place as well; she wants you to join people who publicly deny the financial ruin and disaster which sends distributor wallets to the MLM ovens.

Through the magic of the World Wide Internets, you may view the Dateline Video Expose on Amway/Quixtar corruption on this blog just by clicking on the videos below. How existential, right pee wee?

For once in a very long time you hit the target.
It's a scam, not a cult.
It's a show, at least at a show one is entertained and pays for what they receive,
In the Amway show, one pays but only receives the hope that one day they too, can charge others to attend their show.
In a magic act, we all know it is an illusion, props, and sleigh of hand, we go knowing that the magic is in the presentation. We are entertained, cause we know what is happening, we suspend belief.. we are suprised.
However the Amway show is real, the illusion is taking money with no intent of providing any real substance. It is just smoke and mirrors, flash and no substance.
The reason a magician does not reveal the secret of the trick is that when that happens, then anyone can do it or the trick no longer is a suprise or mystery.
If the KINGPINS revealed the secret they would lose the audience. An audience that is pays dearly to be like them, but will never be them.
Good message. Coincidently, I wrote a blog post called "Are IBOs expendable?"
http://joecool-quixtar-thedreamorthescheme.blogspot.com/2008/11/quixtar-and-amway-ibos-are-expendable.html
Some good observations Mike. Yep, they've been playing a game of 3-Card Monte with dupes for nearly 50 years.
Joecool, have you seen this string on this blog. He had a visit from IBOFairyBoy. Click here. FairyBoy tried to set this blogger straight and the blogger set him straight. Then he gave a link for Merchant's of Deception. I didn't leave any comments.
FairyBoy accused Dave of being you and said that you troll around behind him on the Internets. Too Funny. IBOtoothFairyBoy leaving teeth under bad blogger's pillows.
I bend over for buddies thinks everyone who says something disparaging about him or Amway is me incognito. LOL. Ironic coming from a guy who posts comments on my blog under the name of "greekboy", "Kowyet",
"anonymous", and a host of other names. He thinks I didn't know it was him perhaps. LOL.
By the way, I compleetly agree with what Dave on that blog said.
LOL tex is now making the assertion that IBOFB is "queer".
At least he keeps us entertained. LOL
I read that to mean 'queer' in a 'odd' sort of way. Different meaning than homosexual. I am sure the rumor will persist. Maybe he sent tex some sort of secret come on at the meeting in Prague? hehehehe. He is the IbendOverForBoys fellow--right? About the best he can come up for me is quack. If it walks like a duck?
Flash News:
Amway is accused of punching a woman in the face, taking her purse and using her financial information to make purchases earlier this month in Harrisburg, city officials said today.
This is really a revelation. We all know Amway has been ripping people off for years, but this is too much!
Click here for the details. I guess Amway has gotten desperate since the bad economic times. (smile)
